People disconnected from Indian traditions, especially those educated to interpret excellence in convenience and efficiency as the supremacy of the west, approach Ayurveda only when they face the brick wall of medical treatment.
I hope that every Vaidya reads this article! I've had many clients exhausted by western medicine not having the answers. They turn to Ayurveda but want a quick fix when it took them years to arrive at their state of imbalance. As we all have a desire to help people, I never wanted to turn anyone away. It took me years, but now in the initial consult, I ask if they are willing to do the work that healing requires. Otherwise, I won't work with them. If they are not, it will be a disappointment and a waste of time for both of us.
Some confusion has occurred, never has thought arisen in my mind to put oils in neti pot !
I realise the comment referring to your cleaning of channels was made by the author introducing your column which i am unable to return to….It was on Facebook and how i came to read this column. I have learned to not pay heed to introductions in future.
