Logic-Based learning about Medicinal Plants
If you have studied ayurveda, either at a certification program, or in India in a BAMS program, and still cannot accurately prescribe herbs, you are not alone. The teaching of medicinal plants used in Ayurveda is usually teacher-centered, and forgets the learner-centered approach.
On Wednesday, August 11, 2021, we begin the systematic study of medicinal plants at the DINacharya Masterclasses. Come join us if you really want to learn.
The DINacharya Institute presents DIN Masterclasses Quarter 12.
We begin on the road to discovery of medicinal plants and open into the world of healing using the items found in Nature that are made to rebalance the human imbalances. While many are bewildered with the study of plants, we will engage in a logical observation of plants to understand their medicinal uses.
DIN Master Classes in Ayurveda Granthas feature student-centered learning. We share authentic Ayurveda with a global audience of committed students who are applying ayurveda in their lives. None of the students is completely new to Ayurveda. Yet many seek greater satisfaction with the teachings of basic concepts integrated with clinical and practical concepts. Engagement with the heart-brain and gut instinct drives the sessions.
Please register for Q12 of DINacharya Masterclasses.
Enroll before August 11, 2021 for Q12-Q13-Q14, and you will receive a gift of your choice of ONE .pdf BOOK from the DIN library.

FACULTY The classes are led in English, with an expert facilitator, clinical faculty and a host of authentic and deeply-educated vaidyas from all over India, trained in international teaching.
Vaidyas and physicians lead an interactive discussion on practical applications integrated with fundamentals of doshas, dhatus, and rasas as well as considerations for medicinal use today. This master class is perfect for those wanting better grounding of previous theory-based trainings in order to counsel patients.
In each class, we discuss the Sanskṛt sloka word-by-word, comparing it to modern living and delving into the ayurvedic physiology needed to understand why this food is included in the texts. Clinical cases and examples highlight the teaching to provide in-depth understanding of each food group, its effect on the gunas and doshas of the body and practical applications in the modern world.
RESOURCES Several English translation .pdfs of the text Astanga Hrdayam sūtrasthana chapter 10 are provided in the student folder. Background materials used in the class, scientific references, and practical handouts will be provided. Class recordings are provided in an organized student folder. You will join a group of international students who love to discuss Ayurveda as practical, simple, and also authentic.
